When the family moved into this Pacific Heights home everything was “almost” right but needed a few updates to fit their style and life.

All new paint colors were selected and new light fixtures installed throughout the home. The kitchen was large but dim and closed off by two partial walls. Lacking in light and with outdated choices for the countertop and backsplash it needed an update.

New countertops and backsplash tile were selected. The problematic side walls were cut back to posts and a new curved zinc topped counter area was created. Additional lighting was installed in the ceiling and new pendants over the zinc bar. The glass mosaic tile installed under the bar picks up the dappled greens seen through the nearby windows and is lit from LED’s under the countertop. We kept the original cabinetry but now it was now a completely new kitchen.

Furnishing the adjoining family area with a contemporary sectional, wall mounted TV, and a desk area for the daughters to do homework made this area a hub of family life.

The bland powder room was also remodeled to have some personality. Stone tile wainscoting is topped with a whimsical mosaic border design and then clear glass tiles to the ceiling reflect light from a small chandelier. The custom made stainless steel vanity table is topped with a large marble sink.
